When beating the drum, it was interesting to feel the rhythm through the vibrations transmitted from the drumsticks. Although the sound wave was invisible, I could feel sound physically through these vibrations.
I believed the sound vibration was also a kind of tactile sensation, and that was the first time I was fascinated by a specific tactility. The vibration was not only happening between the drumsticks and my hands but also resonating with my mind. The rhythmed beatings seemed like therapy music that could empty my brain and eased down my troubling thoughts.
The contents inside the drum were based on my personal experience of playing in a drum team in primary school. Even though a decade had passed, I could still remember the rhythm we played before. Maybe it was only the muscle memory, but the feeling of vibrations in my hands and the excitement of performing in front of crowds were still fresh in my brain.
